::taps mic:: Uhm, hello, out there?

Sorry I’ve been rather absent of late. Turns out deadlines and revisions and new deadlines and contracts and well, work take up a lot of time. Who’da’thunk? ::g::

Things done:
Revisions on Glee Essay for Filled With Glee
Contract signed for Blood Lines Book 5 (as yet untitled)
Got contributor copies of A Taste of True Blood (in stores June 29) (OMG SO COOL!!)

Things in progress:
Short Story for San Diego Noir (due in July)
Essay for a new project (due July 31)
Writing Book 5 (due 10/1)
True Blood episode recap (episode 10…whenever that happens)
Sekrit Project Proposal (due asap)

Did you know a writer’s life was so demanding? Hee!! This is all GREAT stuff, fabulous work and I’m totally enjoying it. Just that there are so few hours in a day/week/month and suddenly, oops, you’re on deadline again!

The new season of True Blood started last Sunday. I forgot to add HBO in time, but was able to catch it on Monday via On Demand. Whoa, buddy, that was some way to start season 3! I’m looking forward to the rest of the eps.

My other favorite show, Glee, wrapped up it’s first season with a fabulous episode. So much happened and so many loose threads were tied up, yet, they left loads of potential for season 2. I am such a fan grrl, I jumped up and down when I got a direct tweet from Iqbal Theba, who plays Principal Figgins on Glee. I’d tweeted that I was watching old episode of ER (there’s a reason for that), and that I’d seen him guest star as an eye doctor. He tweeted back to me. :) That was SOOO cool!! (Yes, at heart, I’m 12)

Been doing a lot of writing/thinky notes in longhand this time. Oddly enough, it’s not as much of a barrier as it’s been before. I used to HATE doing it, as my handwriting has deteriorated horribly and I type so very fast, but I’m finding that right now, for whatever reason, I’m enjoying writing on paper. I’m using one of those old-style black & white composition notebooks. I bought a ton of those a few years ago during back-to-school sales at CVS for 50 cents each. I love the rigid cardboard bindings and the paper. Yeah, well, like most writers, I’m totally an office supply freak. I salivate at the idea of going to Staples, or browsing the Levenger catalog.

I must away, as it’s time to get back to the nightly writing!

ETA: Oops!! Almost forgot – got my Comic-Con panel assignment:
