Fictionwhat?
Thursday, January 10th, 2008

So, according to this post from Dear Editor (a.k.a. Paula Guran) – there’s a new Juno page up at Fictionwise.

Why, you say, is Matters of the Blood not there, when it was there before and was even a fantasy bestseller? Answer is: we don’t know.

The books were resubmitted by Paula to put them under the Juno imprint in their database, and she definitely reuploaded Matters, but it’s just not showing up yet.

So, if you got this major hankering to buy it in e-book format…please wait. :) It will be there again, soon.

Thank you kindly.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled day.

Torchwood – more spoilery pics

Busy, busy at work, but I had to post these (someone capped them from the trailers). A couple of pics from Series 2.

My contribution to More Joy day. ::g::

ETA: D’oh, I did the picture code wrong so they weren’t showing up. Thanks to

who pointed it out, all better now.

The happiest of birthdays to

  and

!! Hope your day is FABULOUS!! Much love and loads of hugs.

Spent yesterday afternoon/evening and into the late night at beledibabe’s, along with NC, John ‘n’ Rodney and loads of good food, good wine and CAKE. We had wonderful writing conversations (getting together with other writers = so much joy!) and loads of fun.

Got home so wired I didn’t get to sleep until after 4 a.m.

OMGTIRED but in such a good way. Going to rewatch BAMSR and then face plant for a nap.

Oh yeah, so I might have totally made a birthday greeting card for

  from John and Rodney .

A day of birthdays and things given

A very happy birthday to

and in celebration of the other person who shares the day, I’m debuting my newest icon (courtesy of

, original photo by

). Hope Mr. Flanigan has a great day, too. :)

I haven’t yet watched BAMSR, so avoiding the spoilery squee that I’m sure to find on LJ. I’ve spent the morning writing, rewriting and playing loading dock as both Js came by to pick up stuff – the books; the chair. More stuff GONE!

I’m taking some books over to

‘s later today, some for her, some for S, and this will mark the end of the winter decluttering spell…at least for now. :)

Now I think it’s time for a quick lunch, some minor revising, then off to C’s for fannish squee.

I am but an egg…

I’ve succumbed to Facebook.

Find me here.

I mostly have no idea what I’m doing.

Because it’s Friday
Friday, January 4th, 2008

mizkit said it recently – (and I’m paraphrasing) – there’s not much better than waking up to fan mail…unless it’s great comments from your beta reader (Thanks, C!!).

I’m working from home today – day job stuff during the regular work day, then back to Blood Bargain since my deadline is hey, JANUARY!!

My new task chair will be delivered today (thus the working from home part) – oddly, when I got home last night, the UPS notice was on the door. For whatever reason, they’d tried to deliver a day early. In any case, I’m not going anywhere. Dude, it’s COLD – yeah, okay, not cold as compared to where some of you are (30toseoul) but for me, BRRRRRR.

The brick guys are back at it again outside – drilling and pounding. Sigh. The work was supposed to take 4-6 weeks, but it’s already been longer than that. Oh well.

At some point over the weekend, I’m hoping to make time to post some photos from the family reunion/Miami trip. Just got CDs from my sis and my folks, since they took way more photos than I did. There are several hundred, so I’m going to sift through and pick out the best ones.

Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe!

New SGA tonight!!!

Happy 2008! and happy birthday

Like

, I shall also turn to Neil Gaiman for my 2008 wishes:

“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t to forget make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”

Also, a very happy birthday to the incomparable editor in chief,

!

In the grand tradition of spending the day doing what you wish to be spending the year doing, I shall be writing, reading and watching my fav DVDs.

May you all have a blessed and wonderful year!
