Loads of spoilers below the cut, so beware.
Things I loved immensely:
The John/Rodney show – all of it
– John reminding McKay who was in charge and Rodney apologizing.
– “Cole’s Notes”
– “Dumb it down any more and you’re going to get hit.”
– Rodney pulverizing the asteroid.
– He calls him “John” and a thousand fangrrls squee!
– Guilty!Rodney when John comes back from fixing the array and he has to admit he fixed Elizabeth.
– Rodney: “This is stupid…us fighting.” SQUEE!
– and more Rodney: “Feel up for a heist?”
Other than John/Rodney:
– The midway station is complete. Should be some good times ahead.
– Ronon and the doctor with the “pull-out-the-glass” bit.
– Jewel Staite with the med-babble.
– Chuck!!
– The motley jumper pilot crew, including a short fat woman!
– Keller: “Trying to save a life and whatnot.”
– Zelenka in a space suit. Zelenka being thrown by John. (flashback to “never toss a dwarf”.
– Ronon at Elizabeth’s bedside.
– Jason Momoa is so HUGE and Jewel Staite is so tiny beside him. Adorable.
– The continual ratcheting up of tension.
– Continuity – the experimental jumper!
– Dudes, the PLAN!! Nothing like a last ditch effort…or heist!
Things I hated:
– Commercials. I have been SO spoiled watching shows from iTunes and on DVD. OMG, I want to spork out my eyes and ears if I have to see one more “DiSaronno” ad. asdlakdjfadkj!
– Those stupid advertising/station ID bugs that take up *way* too much of the screen.
This definitely takes away the bad stale cheese taste left by Moonlight. I think I’m going to like Season 4.

John! Rodney! John and Rodney fighting and then making up! Ronon having intense bedside conversations with comatose!Elizabeth! Elizabeth and the city, both failing at the same time, and the tough calls needed to revive both!

Yes, yes!! Everything you said in *your* post!!
What I adore is that even now, the next morning, I’m still squeeing. Well, to be perfectly honest, I might have been squeeing last week when a certain pressie dropped into my inbox and I haven’t *stopped* since.

I think this definitively kills any “Sparky” hopes one might have. “The love of my life? Naaaah, kill her, no prob.”
John and Rodney, on the other hand…. Awwww, they had a fight and then made up. *sniff*

The John/Rodney was just all OVER the place – everywhere you looked. Heck, we didn’t *have* to look, it was served up on a silver platter.
<3s My big gay SF show!

So the show was pretty much perfect, then?
Ah – I knew I could count on you to vet Moonlight for me. Not so much with the passability, then?

I’m really beginning to think the writers are fanfic writers and have a definite McKay/Sheppard bent.
re: Moonlight – so sad that it’s crap and it couldn’t overcome the pretty. I’m actually fairly easy when it comes to vampire shows, but this was just so freaking boring.
