Egads, I am such a ‘ho for the pretty.
I saw this in a blog post and immediately lusted after it (the laptop). No matter that I have a nearly new IBM Thinkpad T41 at work; and a lovely iBook at home. Plus, if I wanted to buy a new laptop, I’d buy myself a new MacBook Pro. It’s the SHINY factor and SUPERMAN!! It’s sooo pretty. ::g::
Today’s been a bit of a tech-challenge – starting with Yahoo groups evidently posting blank digests to folks. I moderate a few groups and everyone began complaining. Sounds like a Yahoo groups spazma attack to me, so I replied to a few select individuals and we’ll just have to sit back and wait.
I also needed to go to Adobe’s site to re-download Homesite, which I used to have on the work laptop, until the hard drive cratered. Shouldn’t be a problem because I bought it all legit and everything. Except for one thing. Adobe’s site was fubared. Really. Big honking CF error everytime I tried to access “my account”. I finally was able to get to the feedback form and by 2:00ish, it was fixed, but really, total PITA.
Now I have to figure out what I did with the FTP account info for my Web site – which was saved on my old computer. Sigh.
I’m hoping to update my site by embedding my LJ or perhaps just posting the LJ feed; both of which tutorials I’ve bookmarked on the LJ site. I’m not a total moron. I’m the Senior Project Manager for a Web firm, thing is, at work, I have people. People who are programmers and webmaster and who’ve kept up with the intricacies of coding and such. Me, not so much. I might be able to pull this off. In any case, I do need to update my woefully out of date site.
It’s a hell of a lot easier to post information to LJ. ::g::
