Now that the “accident” has happened – IT’S STILL A DREAM.
I predict Clark will wake up and Jonathan will die.
ETA 8:43 PM: Okay, not a dream but not set in stone. My take is still Lana will survive, now that she *doesn’t* know Clark’s secret and Pa Kent will still bite the big one. Lex will become Senator.
Still predicting. No clue.
ETA2 8:52 PM: Heh. I was right. They can’t fuck with canon *that* much. Pa Kent dies in the middle of the drive, just like in the comics.
Still waiting for the denoument.
ETA3 9:01 PM: Nice ending, pretty snow. Liked the fact that Lex was the “outsider” – just like when it was his funeral, Clark stood outside the pack. Also liked the fact that they showed Lionel moving close to Martha, because IMHO, they’re going to start Lionel stalking Martha.
Any guesses as to what was in that pic? Clark lifting a tractor perhaps?

if i’d gotten the fact that it was dirt and not flower petals in the promo, i probably would have gone with Bo more. i really didn’t want to see Chloe die, Clark needs her to bounce things off of.
i loved the Lex On The Outside funeral bit, too.
and wtf? with Lex getting drunk in the castle… in fact he was pretty deep in his cups (and isn’t he a CUTE drunk? kinda reminds me of Chupa Chup and/or Champagne Wishes by Te) by the time Lana got there. seriously. how much time elapsed between the election “results” and when Lana got to the castle? i can see Lex ordering everyone out of his home after finding out he lost, but … what about the party hats and balloons? did he leave his hq and call Lana on the way to running home to get all fitshaced? if not, then he must have had his hq at the castle so… where were all the lackeys with party hats and balloons?

Unless Lex chose to spend election night alone – which should have been established. I can imagine him tossing all the lackeys and such as the night wore on, as he started to lose in the polls, but seriously, there should have been at least *some* left-behind sign of there having been a campaign – some crumpled posters, a few discarded party hats, etc.
