Still freakin’ behind on pretty much everything.
Ended up working from home on Friday. Got stuff done, but still have more to do.
Today was monthly all-day client meeting in Bethesda – a fun meeting, but still – all day. Got back to the office at 4:30 and worked until well after 7. Just getting home. Sigh.
Tomorrow morning: another client meeting. At least this one only goes until noon.
What I have done recently that is fun:
* Watched most of S1 SGA (only 2 eps to go) – and I’m loving the snarky goodness of McKay/Sheppard. OMG, those 2!!
* Gotten invited to sign books on alumni weekend at my alma mater. Thing is, it’s in San Antonio and alumni weekend is the weekend AFTER I planned to be in San Antonio. Now I need to call the bookstore and see if I can reschedule.
* Gotten nominated for Debut Author of the Year, Quill Awards. Evidently a new award from Publisher’s Weekly in conjunction with NBC. I’m not on the short list yet, but it could happen. ::g::
Coming up Saturday:
* Book signing at Mystery Loves Company in Baltimore (1 p.m.) If you’re around, please come by and support us!
What I did that wasn’t so fun:
* Got my car inspected, the driver’s side window fixed and an oil change. $583.00 – YIKES.
What I haven’t done:
* Caught up on LJ reading
* Sent my sister’s birthday card (her b’day is today) (I *did* send her the gift certificate she wanted).
* Sent a pressie to a friend who’s 40th is this weekend (it’s going out tomorrow)
* Caught up on my writing…book 2 is moving like molasses in Inuvik
* Replaced my passenger side mirror and purchased 2 new tires (eek! more $$)
All that said:
