Fate?
Wednesday, June 1st, 2005

There are some things in life just Not Meant To Be. My meeting Neil Gaiman is one of them.

I squeed when I found out he’s coming to sign in the D.C. area – at my local Borders, no less. The date: September 25. Why is this a problem? I’ll be in Baltimore, at the book festival appearing with Dana Cameron, Jacqueline Winspear and Lucia Robson. AARGH.

Sometimes life isn’t fair….uh, most times.

I’m woefully behind on LJ reading. I worked late last night, trying to catch up after being gone for Mayhem in the Midlands, then after I got home, my Internet connection kept crapping out. So not fun.

In any case, my apologies and a belated birthday to tobyfan!!

Mayhem was a blast. My book sold out on the first day (both good and bad), and several attendees made it a point to tell me I cost them sleep. ::g:: I like hearing that.

I also discovered that my buddy Dan Hale is good friends with Chris Meloni!! Dan doesn’t get why that’s a big deal. Heh. We all told him that he needs to invite Chris to an NYC dinner. I’ll even travel up to the city for it. Dude!

I finally realized that QAF had started up again – but too late for the first 3 eps. Anyone out there have them recorded? Anyone?

Looking forward to my June 15 Smithsonian event and to seeing allaboutm_e and the gang sometime later in the month.

Eek, it’s after one and I haven’t finished lunch! Time flies when work is piled up!

At some point, I’ll actually post the Mayhem pics. My new digital camera is awesome!

ETA: Shayheyred, I PROMISE I’ll do the meme…really, I will. I just need, you know, time. ::g::
