Me, I’m trying to keep my head above the proverbial alligator-infested water. Nothing major, just busy at work with multiple projects and busy at home/work with book stuff.

My corrected proofs went back to my publisher, as did the corrected book cover copy. Things seem to be moving along well.

I need to get through the next few days and just take time for myself to relax, in prep for next weekend. ::g::

Finally got a chance to watch BSG and House (OMG, the CAR!!). Caught the previews for next week’s new Lost episode – total squee.

Have to go concentrate on work, but see you all next week!!!

On friends I had dinner with last night: 8 – I’m at VA Festival of the Book and had a blast at cocktail reception, then dinner with Laura Lippman, Jerrilyn Farmer, Donna Andrews, Susan McBride, Laura Durham, Chris Freeburn and Rosemary Stevens. Name dropping – heck, yeah!!

On mornings: They come too early. I barely slept because of the excitement, now it’s 7:00 a.m. and I’m barely waking, but I’m having brekkie with the above.

It’s Crime Wave day at the festival, so I’ll be looking out for beledibabe and a couple of others that are coming in from DC for the day.

Eeek!! I have to run take a shower!!

I was gone (to NJ) and came back, now I’m off again. This time, I’m headed southward(?) to Virginia Festival of the Book in Charlottesville. Driving to Reston tonight to spend it at Donna’s, then the 2 of us will head out early in the a.m.

AFK as little as possible, although I have no clue if the hotel has broadband. We’ll see.

Of the good: My edits are done to Matters and sending off to pub as we speak. My advertising postcards and magnets came, so I can take some with me for book pimping.

Next weekend, I actually can stay home and write. After that: Connexions!!!

So, I really really don’t have time to be doing this (shopping….posting….etc.) but I had to.

I was browsing amazon.ca, since, like a couple of others of you, wrote to them regarding Wilby Wonderful. They kindly sent me a $10 coupon. In my browsing, I found out that there once existed a DVD version of Buried on Sunday. (which I only have on VHS). It’s out of print, though and not available. Still, I squeed, because I had not know that it ever was released on DVD. If it’s out there…I will find it, I thought.

And I did!! A few minutes searching and I found a buy-it-now copy on eBay. SQUEEEEE!!!!

Yesterday, the last 2 seasons of Homicide arrived (my indulgence with my tax refund).

Tomorrow, I’m Mahwah bound to spend the weekend at D’s for due South squee. All my favorite stories have been downloaded to the Palm in preparation.

My editorial comments will be emailed to me tonight.

I found a case and keyboard for the new Palm toy (bluster, I’m *still* blaming you…::g::) at lunch.

After work, I’m heading to the mall (shudder!) with bheerfan. She’s after glasses. I’m after lingerie.

Next weekend, it’s Virginia Festival of the Book and I get to squee with Jerrilyn Farmer, once of my best buddies and fab mystery author. Today is her birthday, in fact, and I just spoke to her. Turns out, she’ll be in DC area after VA Fest and staying at the hotel next to my office. She’s signing at Border’s Bailey’s Crossroads Monday night if any of you in the area are interested.

Life is good.

Behind me, though it’s not obvious, is my new 18″ Captain Jack Sparrow figure that arrived shortly after Wilby Wonderful. Almost a perfect day.
